We’ve all heard how there are three types of people:
those who are immovable,
those who can be moved,
and then those that just move.

We need to get more people moving   and doing good.
We need to start a movement.

More to Life Experiences

The More To Life team visited Harlem in April and Los Angeles in May as part of the foundation’s important mission to help provide mentoring, academic and athletic opportunities for kids in need.

The More 2 Be program targets children in 3rd-8th grade in an exciting format that includes educational, service and athletic components, all of which are made possible through the kindness and generosity of the many people who support the M2L foundation.

In Harlem, we partnered with the Harlem Jets to help over 200 children participate in an M2L event at the end of April. Harlem was chosen as the first location for this experience thanks to the inspiring humanitarian work of LaVell and Patti Edwards, who helped make high school football possible in Harlem in the early 2000’s.

In Los Angeles, we’ve joined hands with the South Bay Spartans to help hundreds of additional kids become part of the M2L experience. Other locations are currently being considered across the country.

Collegiate athletes and coaches will be conducting the free programs and volunteers in the local areas are always welcome. If we’re coming to your area and you’re interested in helping, please visit our “Volunteer” page.

In addition to the services provided for the kids, M2L also conducts free clinics for youth coaches in the areas. The focus of the coaches clinics is to teach not only the proper and safe fundamentals of the game but also how to coach kids in a positive way with a focus on how words create your legacy as a coach.

The M2L experience has been crafted to help give children the tools that will empower them to succeed in life.

Most importantly, the experience doesn’t end when our team leaves. In fact, that’s just the beginning. Through social media and other methods the kids who attend will be able to participate in a fun and exciting program that incentivizes learning and service for years to come.

If you’d like to help sponsor a child to attend the M2L program we’re happy to accept donations of any amount on our “Donate” page.

There is More To Life than we often imagine. Together we can help children develop a growth mindset, including the courage to try—and sometimes fail—but also the determination to always be moving forward in pursuit of their dreams.

Boys & Girls Club Holiday Celebration

More To Life has pledged to help continue the inspiring humanitarian service given by Patti and LaVell Edwards. Last December we adopted their favorite charity, the Boys & Girls Club of Utah County and surprised over 100 children and their families with a Christmas party that included games, crafts, food and plenty of fun.

We partnered with members of the BYU football team and coaches and the staff of the Boys & Girls Club to make the event possible. The children had provided the club staff with a Christmas “wish list” of gifts that they would hope to receive. With the lists in hand, dozens of BYU football players went shopping to help fulfill the children’s Christmas dreams. At the event, the gifts were secretly handed over to the children’s parents so that the parents could give them to the children at a time of their choosing.

That night, More To Life and dozens of partners provided activities, games and food that entertained the club’s members and their families for hours. It is our hope to make this an annual event as well as to continue to find other ways to support the Utah County Boys & Girls Club and perpetuate the legacy of Patti & LaVell’s work with this important group of children.

Special thanks to our many sponsors who are listed on the home page for making this night an exciting and happy memory for the children! Also, many thanks to Nate Edwards of BYU Photo and Brandon Despain of BYU Athletics for providing photographs and video of the events.
